Tennessee Equine Hospital is proud to host veterinary interns each year through our competitive Internship Program. Tennessee Equine Hospital's Internship Program is a compensated, one year internship beginning in June of each year and extending to June the following year. The purpose of this internship is to expose the interns to all aspects of equine practice.
The interns will rotate between medicine, surgery, outpatient/repro care, and ambulatory service. As the intern becomes more comfortable with procedures and practice, responsibilities will be given accordingly. These duties will eventually include complete management of hospital cases, overnight ICU, foal cases, emergency rotation, lameness workup, and ambulatory caseload.
The internship includes a competitive annual salary, on site housing with all utilities provided during the internship, health insurance plan, AVMA PLIT liability insurance, disability insurance, state licensing fees and professional privilege tax, AVMA membership, AAEP membership, paid time off.
