Welcome to Tennesee Equine Hospital

Tennessee Equine Hospital is a full service facility located in Thompson’s Station Tennessee just 40 minutes south of Nashville. We are easily accessible from I-65,  I-840, and Hwy 31.

In October of 2009 our new surgical and diagnostic facility opened offering advanced surgical, medical, and nuclear imaging services to horses in the surrounding area and beyond.   We are now able to perform colic surgery, arthroscopic surgery, and a multitude of other procedures in our state of the art surgical facility. Our padded induction and recovery rooms, hydraulic table, and anesthetic equipment enable safe and efficient operating conditions.  Our nuclear scintigraphy ward allows for advanced imaging in an effort to best diagnose and treat our patients. 

Our hospital is designed to provide the most effective care for our medical patients.  We are a 22 stall facility including a climate controlled stall, a large mare and foal stall, and multiple stalls equipped for administering intra-venous fluids.  Centrally located is our pharmacy and laboratory which enables us to obtain critical diagnostic information to better care for your horses.  We have a 3 stall isolation ward to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.   We also have 3 large outpatient working areas enabling us to provide services without unnecessary exposure to hospitalized patients.

One mile from the hospital and surgical facility is our reproductive center.  Services provided in our 24 stall reproductive barn include artificial insemination, pregnant mare monitoring and assisted foaling, stallion collection, semen evaluation, and semen freezing.
